Getting a pool!

After months of deciding and designing we have finally started the building process of our pool! It is amazing to watch the process. I am used to someone digging a huge hole in the ground then dropping in a fiber glass pool and bam you are done. I guess times have changed, our maybe it is because we are getting as gunite pool and that is the difference. It is a much bigger process than I ever imagined. Here are some pictures to help you understand what I am talking about. It is so cool!!

Dig day! This was a very exciting day for us and the kids enjoyed watching.

The hole!

Skylar thought this was the coolest dirt hole ever.

She played for three hours in it. LOVED it!

Next step.. Spray it with concrete.

View from the shallow in.

Next step...re-bar or as Sky calls them, "greasy sticks". The build a cage for the pool with all of that re-bar.

Pretty cool looking.

Next step..concrete again.

Spraying the concrete, it is very neat to watch.

Smoothing it out after they spray it.

We are pregnant!

We did it! We were trying to have a baby and apparently when you actually watch when you are ovulating you can get pregnant. We have been trying since October, but last month we really watched all of that stuff. I worked last Tuesday and came home and sat outside with Skylar and Jt watching them play then all of sudden I felt so hungry. Went inside to grab a snack then felt not so hungry anymore, just sick. So I came inside and laid down to rest. My stomach just felt upset and I just all of a sudden did not feel good. I felt horrible since I just got home from work and laid down, I felt like I was neglecting Skylar, even though Jt was here I still felt bad. Tried to take a nap but ended up running to the toilet to puke twice! YUCK! (Mind you I NEVER throw up.) Then I started crying because I threw up. Then Skylar heard me and came into the bathroom and said, "MOM! Did you just throw up? Why are you crying?" I was like just get me a towel baby. Went upstairs and Jt asked if I was pregnant, I said well it seems so soon. So he bought me a home pregnancy test at Walmart that night. I woke up Wednesday morning and immediately took it, I mean within 30 seconds that stick had a plus sign on it. I was like well there ya go, that is why I felt horrible. Sooooo.....I woke up Jt and Sky and we dropped her off at school, they still did not know. I had a dentist appointment that day that I already planned on not going to because I did not feel the greatest and having my teeth worked on while feeling like poo made me even more sick to my stomach. Jt asked what time my appointment was and I told him I was not going, he said well yes you are, you need to, I am taking you. We went back and forth about it and then we agreed on breakfast at Waffle House. When we pulled into to parking lot, before we got out of the truck I handed him the pregnancy test and said, this is why I do not want to go to the dentist, I want to call my OB and get an appointment. He was super excited and said I could cancel my appointment. Ha ha. I was able to be seen by my OB that day for official confirmation. Which is funny because you pee on the same stick at home that you do at the doctor but there is something about the doctor confirming it that makes you feel better. Skylar was there with us and we finally told her why we were there at the end. Her little face lit up! She was so happy and told everyone, Mommy has a baby in her belly! She has kissed my belly everyday since. I am 5 weeks along....due January 3, 2014. We actually took a few different pictures at my parents house but the one we loved so much and that was so "us" was the one we were not even posing for, we were just being funny and my Dad happen to snap that picture. Here are our two normal pics....
