The Big MOVE

I realize it has been a while since I updated last...so we closed on our house December 10th like planned which was fabulous!! We moved most of our stuff in Monday and Tuesday, then spent our first night there on Wednesday. It is perfect! We love it oh so much. We still do not have grass, it has been raining so much our yard is just a big ole mud puddle. Our dog Daisy is so confused because she does not like the mud but thankfully we have hay surronding the house so she goes to the bathroom in it. She has finally learned how to walk and run on the hardwood floors. The first time we brought her there was very amusing. She did not really want to go anywhere because she could not grasp how to walk. Our stairs our also hardwood so she would not go up or down the stairs for a few days. It was very funny actually, if we brought her upstairs she would just stay up there until we came back up to get her. She is having a blast now. We did not have blinds or curtains for like the first week so that is always a lot of fun. It is starting to look like a home though. We now have blinds and curtains on the whole bottom floor, we will work on the upstairs soon. We have had a few visitors and I think it's safe to say the Jonathan's "Man Cave" is the favorite. It's a toss up between Sky's room and his Man Cave. Our couch we got up there is WONDERFUL! We love it so much, in fact we all slept on it the other night. Sleeps good too. Oh and Skylar LOVES out shower. She can see herself in the mirror so she literally stays in the shower for almost an hour. It is so funny to sneak in there and watch her. Hardwood and Slurried Brick

We got our hardwood floors put in this weekend and our brick slurried. We were kind of unsure of what the slurry would look like on the brick but we are so in love with it. We liked the brick a lot before so we almost did not get it done. So glad we did. We are set to close one week from today. There are still little things that need to be done like...some trim work needs to be put in, they have to stain our front door, back patio and front porch, do the landscaping, put the mailbox in, clean up a lot and a few other minor things. It can be done but they need to get to work. I went today and no one was working so hopefully it will all happen before next Monday.
