Nursery is done!

Well it has been a long time since my last update, just been busy with life. We have baby Langston's nursery pretty well complete. It was a lot of fun putting it all together. Like I said, I got most everything in his room from etsy. Just found a few ideas on Pinterest that I liked and pieced them together making it my own. For the most part I have had a great pregnancy. These past few weeks I have been having a lot of back pain and have to pace myself throughout the day, making sure to rest as much as I can. Also, I am at the point now where sleeping is pretty well impossible and I have a very hard time getting comfortable. My preggo pillow thing is not even helping. I am getting very anxious to meet my little man and have been having a lot of dreams about him lately. My only fear is that he will be born on Christmas, so that stresses me out a little but I know it is out of my control. Jonathan did suggest that we go ahead and get our Christmas shopping done now in case he decides to make his appearance early. So I am proud to say that I am ALL done with my Christmas shopping! Santa and stockings and all! Pretty proud of myself considering I usually do it a couple weeks before Christmas. I must say it feels good to be done. Even have all of our trees up and decorated. That way everything is ready and done and we will be ready for Langston's arrival anytime. Speaking of him....he is a very stubborn child so far. We have had three attempts at a 3D/4D ultrasound and two out of the three he was very stubborn(like his dad) and did not let us see him. His hand was in the way of his face both times and he was sleeping the entire time. Even with a sugar high. However, one that we had, he was cooperative at first and we were able to see his face. He is indeed a chunky little monkey. He has a fat face and chunky legs. He weighed 5 pounds two weeks ago, so there is no telling how much he will weigh when he is born. I say 9 or 10 pounds. Skylar was 8 lbs 9 oz. Can't wait to hold him and meet him! Up until the past two days ha has been a night baby. He sleeps ALL day long then stays awake ALL night long. Turd! But, yesterday and today he has been awake and active all day and actual slept last night when I did which was nice. I think he will be a night owl, I mean his Daddy kind of is, or used to be. We shall see, as long as he is a healthy baby I do not care. Love him so much already!

This is his going to be his changing table. Before....

               After... Love it!

Messing around putting Daisy in his bed. ;)

I lined the drawers with this cute little fabric.

Bookcase before...

Bookcase after I added the fabric to the background. It added a little more to the bookcase for sure.

She loves being in his room.

The finished tree! LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!

Kind of dark but you get the picture.

His bedding! Also LOVE!

My beautiful curtains from the grouchy old lady that made them and was rude, but thankfully they look great!

Butterbean's Nursery

Well Mr. Langston's nursery is under way! We got it all painted and picked out our theme for the room. Most all of my room decor I found on etsy. I ordered it all this week along with his crib and bookcase. My Mom bought him/me a glider for his room. So cute and comfty. Now we sit and wait on all of my fun packages to arrive. Yay! Pretty much his colors are white, grey, light blue and chevron pattern. And of course baby elephants and other jungle friends.

Big Sissy painting brother's room.

Of course she had a blast.

Daddy and Sissy working hard.

Proud parents! It was fun that we all painted it together.

This is some wall art I bought and will find some vintage frames to hang on the wall.

Cute pillow to put in the glider.

Valances.

In love with this! Wall decals!

First day of school!!

Today was Miss Skylar's first day of school. She was so excited and ready to go back. We started a new bedtime routine last night and it worked out wonderful. She has to have her bath and be ready for bed at 8:30 and gets 30 minutes of TV time then lights out at 9:00. I went in there at 9:05 and she had already fallen asleep. She woke up early and great this morning too. I brought her breakfast in bed! She got up with plenty of time to watch her cartoons before getting ready. Hopefully, we can keep up that good routine. She goes four days this year so it will be an adjustment for both of us. I have been enjoying my sleep as well. After we dropped her off, I came home and took a nap. I was extremely tired today and since I could not get Starbucks to give me a boost I took a nap. I had a hard time today for some reason worrying about her and her first day. Maybe it is the hormones, but I could not wait to pick her up and hear all about her day. Her teacher did tell me she wrote very well. :)

Breakfast in bed for our princess!

I bought new cookie cutters for her lunch. So cute! LOVED it and she LOVED it and her note I wrote her.

First day!!!

Boy boy boy!!!

Went to the doctor last week to see our butterbean!! Found out it was a B O Y! It was weird because I thought it might be a boy but was not sure, they day of the ultrasound I had a feeling it might be a girl. My Mom and sister wanted to throw us a reveal party but Jonathan and I did not really want one. Here is my thought on those parties. When I had Skylar, 5 years ago, they were not big at all and now it is like the thing to do. I think it is a cute idea, however, we did not want anyone else to find out the sex before we did. To me it is a intimate, fun thing to actually see your babies "parts" yourself in person. And we do not really have a big enough family to invite to a reveal party if we were to reveal the gender to them. So with that being said I asked my sister and Mom if they wanted to go to the doctor with us to see it for themselves, because to me that is way cooler! I had some cute shirts made up that Jonathan and I wore. Mine read, 'Mommy THINKS it is a Boy' and Jonathan's read, 'Daddy HOPES it is a girl'. Jonathan and I saw the penis right before she told us, Jonathan said IT IS A BOY! before the ultrasound tech was able to. My Mom, sister, Skylar and me all SCREAMED and clapped so loud! It was kind of funny, like we won the world series or something. Ha ha. Jonathan was excited of course and I felt bad because he did want a little girl, but we were all happy either way and that our little bean is healthy. I had not bought anything for butterbean until we knew the gender. So last week, Mom, Crystal and I all had the same idea and bought him so many clothes from Once Upon A Child. I could not help myself. Little boy clothes are not as bad as I thought. It is so fun and different shopping for a boy. :) We have decided to do the nursery in grey and aqua with baby elephants. So excited! Going to paint his room this week hopefully. He went from having ZERO clothes to a full wardrobe for 3-6 months. I did not buy a whole lot of newborn stuff because Skylar was a 9lb baby. BTW, his name is going to be Langston Cawley! Getting excited, oh he is a very active baby! Kicks and flips all of the time.

Our little butterbean!

LOVE this picture. Spread eagle. Ha ha.

A few of my favorites!

Love the jeans and plaid shirt!

Nursery colors, kind of.

Apparently Daisy likes his new clothes.

The finished product!

They have finally completed the pool!! HOORAY! We have been swimming every chance we get. Of course it has been raining and cloudy since we got the water in but that does not stop us. Here are some of the final pictures of our project. So happy with everything!

Our oasis!

Miss Daisy wanted to pose during the photo shoot. BTW, she loves to swim.

Back shot of all the landscaping.

Pool house turned out great!

Inside the pool house. All decorated and done!

So in LOVE!

One of my favorite furniture pieces! I have been wanting one of these swings forever. It completes our back porch. And it makes a great nap chair for Skylar. :)

Water! Water! Water!

This week has been the finish line for the pool. The filled the pool with water, it took about 20 hours. They just put two garden hoses in the pool and fill it up. They finished our landscaping and fence. Finished the driveway. We were able to put out all of our pool deck furniture a few days ago. They still have some small things to finish up on the pool house so hopefully this week or next week they will be out of our hair. Most all of the Michael Hatcher people are done and gone. Whoo hoo. We have been swimming everyday and night since about Wednesday. It is a pretty good temperature considering it has not even been a week. Skylar has improved so much on her swimming in just these past few days. I am so proud of her. We all love the waterfall, good decision there for sure. Will post "finished" pics in a couple days. This week has been crazy busy with so many people in and out of the house and workers just everywhere. Stay tuned....

Just got the final touch, plaster.
Starting to fill the pool.

WATER!!

Almost done.

Hot tub.
The pool is full! YAY!!!

Working on the driveway for the pool house. It is called a grass paver driveway.

First they lay down gravel, then this honey comb stuff then fill it with sand then put sod over it.
